Fernhill Park - woodland burial grounds on the Isle of Wight

Lime Tree Avenue

At Fernhill today, mature woodland currently covers 8 acres in addition to 10 acres of newly planted and self-set trees. The site is set in an area of beautiful parkland and Lakeland adjacent to Wootton Creek, and is surrounded by miles of picturesque footpaths and bridle paths for public access.

The woodland burial site at Fernhill is currently under development. The ornamental drive is being restored by way of clearing and a footpath being added through the grounds.

The main entrance to the Fernhill grounds is also being updated with work currently being undertaken to enhance the appearance of the entrance way and improve access roads. This project also includes work to strengthen an ancient bridge at the entrance to the site.
